I am still here

so just if you all wondered... i am still here and I am still working hard, just not so hard that I remember to record everything every day. It's been a busy few weeks for me because I had so many doctor appointments and check-up and check-ins you name them. However the good news is that all is well. It just happens that over the years all the yearly appointment get bunched together into the summer. the only appointments left for me now for the year are the one with my primary care provider where she reorders all my meds... basically allergy meds and some pain meds and a new appointment for me this year will be bone density screening. I just finished colon screening and those women's health screenings everyone hates including the mammogram. But my insurance pays for them so I go and because we have history in my family. My grand mother died of breast cancer, my aunt died of cancer... uterus I think and I know my dad has been repeatedly treated for colon cancer and it's been several time successfully removed. So, yes I go to the screenings. ..as does my hubby, but then he has already cancer. It's dormant at the moment and it's inside his skull, not much can touch it there.
It's hot in Texas, we been living or existing if you want with triple digits for a while now and we hope for rain soon. Isn't it funny how we had all this rain and many areas are still flooded but we already wishing for more rain.
The new banner picture was again taken by my 4 year old granddaughter. It is a shot along side of our place of the quiet street we live on... until school starts up again. We live a few hundred yards from the elementary school. It wasn't always like this. When we moved here school was a ways off, but they tore down the old building and made a new school and it turned out to be closer to us. They just forgot to move the school zone, meaning no-one respects the speed limits around here.
