Highs and lows

I can't believe it's been so long since I made a blog post on here! November of last year was the last time I wrote anything. Slacker... :(
So, I've been dealing with a multitude of health stuff over the past year...I know, nothing new there. I'm always dealing with health stuff. But oddly enough, this is actually new stuff. I've said stuff too much... Anyway, I started seeing a new neurologist earlier this year who is an absolute angel. I mean, yes, everytime I visit his office, I do not leave without being poked with at least one needle, whether it's blood work, Botox injections for my migraines, or some kind of testing. But he's the first neurologist I've seen and really the first doctor I've seen who has just jumped in there and took control of the situation and has tried to do everything he can to figure out what on earth is causing these health problems. He's not trying to put me on more pills or talk to me like I'm stupid or making anything up. He really takes me seriously and really wants to help. Like I said, I'm on Botox injections now for my migraines and honestly, they help so so much. I occasionally have to take a migraine pain pill because nothing is 100% but it's very rare.
He's sent me to an ENT for my sinuses because apparently, according to the MRI of my head I had done, I had multiple cysts on both sides of my sinuses. Fun. Both my mom, my Granny (her mom) and my aunt (dad's sister) had to have that same surgery I'll have to have. The ENT is sending me to get an updated CT of my sinuses and gave me a prescription for a very good allergy medication because Claritin is not covered by my insurance and it gets expensive. I'll also probably be getting allergy testing.
My neurologist has also referred me to a Rheumatologist who I don't see until next Friday because after looking at my very long history and getting all these different tests done, he is 99.9% sure that I have Fibromyalgia and the Rheumatologist is the one who would have to officially diagnose me with it and start on a treatment plan. Not very excited about that since there is no cure for Fibromyalgia and I've heard from people that have it that it's a giant pain in the booty to deal with, but hey, at least I finally have an answer.
My energy levels have been all over the place lately. I spent most of the week being absolutely out of it and in pain, especially with my back, and then today woke up and had energy and felt like getting things done. Still running around like the energizer bunny now. Hopefully that will last through the weekend, because I have a lot of stuff to do!
