Yes, I'm acting silly here!

It's awesome to be a healthy size once again.
I've had to do many things to STOP LOSING weight! Something I thought I'd NEVER SAY!


But today I'm in different mood. Having reached my weight goal, I wonder what success is and therefore what is failure?
Yes! I've reached my weight goal, way above and beyond.
And even though I've I've read
'IF YOU THINK GOD CAN'T USE YOU THEN REMEMBER"...........this is a cute study, well worth the study to be reminded of who God uses lol (this list is shared by GODS-PRINCESS in WALKING THE RIGHT PATH TEAM)
STILL
As a Christian I feel I've failed.
I may've mislead my grown children. I hope they know I'm not in approval of their actions, even though I say nothing.


After much thinking, I've decided:

It's their choice, of course.

SUCCESS MEANS MORE THAN LOSING WEIGHT!
IT'S A NEW BEGINNING!
I CAN BE A FAILURE IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE & FINALLY BE HEALTHY all at the same time :) LOL

    Remember Aaron's sons; David's sons; Hezekiah's son; they didn't follow what their dad had taught them. We can only do our best to train our children and then they grow up to make their own decisions. This of course is frustrating and heartbreaking. I have learned to lean on the Lord for his directing of my children and lifting them in prayer,

    You look great, even silly. Make sure to give yourself a range. Stay on Spark. Lots of maintainers here.

    Silence isn't always acceptance. I sometimes feel the same way about choices my children have made. I sent them to Christian schools, brought them to church, talked about God with them, talked about God's importance in my life, have tried to lead a Christ centered life. But then I think, why didn't we have family prayers and devotions? Why didn't I encourage daily Bible reading? They are really good young men, but I feel I failed them spiritually.

    Praying God works in their hearts.

    We can't make their Choice for them.. We can instruct them the way when they are younger so all we can do is Pray.. Good to see you.. I do not believe I have ever seen a picture..     Glad to see you online again. In life the only people we can really change is ourselves. I am very proud of you in all, success and what you think is failures! Everyone seems to march to their own drummer until they realize what needs to be done. I am still struggling emotionally, and my eating shows this from isolation. I do realize that habits sometimes defeat us. I need to realize that I am stronger than mindless eating out of bore drum. Still fighting my being 150's. Great work emoticon ! sometimes if we wait long enough we do see our children grow into the adults we have always thought them to be. But many times we never see the effect we have on others in them seeding themselves. hugs, eva p.s.- you look great, love the happiness written all over your face.

    My Journey is still underway. From 385 a few years ago to 251 pounds. I too have discovered how my weight was negative to those who hear me. I know God will continue to teach me more as work toward 185.

    You look amazing, silly or not. I have no children but have worked with a lot of children over the years and there Comes a when they are grown and we have no control. God is in control of our lives and their lives and you have done your best to raise them and that's what matters. emoticon

    I too love your picture!

    Everybody walks their own path. We give our kids the tools to try to help them walk, we can share parts of our journey as to what we've done and what we learned from it, but ultimately it is their walk. We can hope, pray and encourage, but their choices are their own. The other thing we can do is love them, no matter what they decide. We are not condoning actions when we love; we are affirming the person. We are saying they are valuable and they matter. And we keep our eyes on Jesus and keep walking our walk. That's parenting, and how God deals with us. He's the judge, not me, and He knows what is needed to bring them back around if need be.

    This is not failure; it is living.

    What you said spoke to me! I have adult "children" too! I can't change other people, even my children, especially now that they are adults. They're choices are theirs. I have learned by some of the really bad decisions I've made so now I need to let them make their own decisions and maybe they'll learn from their decisions too!

    Great blog! You are so right that success is measured in many different ways. And so often I have to bite my tongue at things the kids do and say. It is a different world in their eyes. But all we can do is lay the foundation and hope that they make the right choices. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
