The Girl Who Tried

I haven't blogged in a long time, just hadn't been feeling myself lately. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a perfectionist. I think everything should be done in a particular order, executed perfectly, not deviating from my original plan. As simple as it sounds, my breakthrough came when I acknowledged and accepted that my journey was not going to be perfect. When I said to myself you may not have lost the 5 pounds that you wanted to, but you lost 3.8 and that's still good. Or, when I saw I didn't hit my 1,500 calorie mark and instead consumed 1,700 calories. I finally told myself it is okay not to be perfectly on target each time, all that matters is that I try, and give it my absolute best each day. And accepting that felt really freaking good! When I started to try to do my best, and focus less on perfection the results were just as great! Love you guys! -Joselyn
