This will not be a long post, more like a simple note to give myself a bit of a pat on the back. I've been absent for quite sometime now but my weight has continued to go down. I am now down 64 pounds. Most of my recent loss is due to cutting out cokes, and not eating after 7 pm. Oh, and attempting to cut back on sweets especially junk food style. For some reason, perhaps I'm more contented with life, but my binge eating has all but disappeared. I've been able to go out to eat and not go crazy such as a pizza buffet. No donut runs late night at Wal Mart when I know that they are cheap. For the last three weeks I've also been back at the gym doing some exercise. Just simple cardio with some upper body and leg work. I dumped my Planet Fitness membership in the town where I work. Once my initial 2 year commitment was done it was surprisingly easy to drop my membership. While PF has some nice equipment, they offer no support and even when I reserved time with the trainer, she always seemed to have her mind elsewhere. No ill will toward PF, I just needed a little more assistance then they offer. After not being involved in any facilities, I've recently joined the Anytime Fitness in the town where I call home. This is working much better for me. First being 30 miles closer to the gym makes it easier for me to make up if I should miss, or to juggle my work out schedule. While AF does not have the shear number of stations, the people who work there are much more interested in helping members reach their health and fitness goals. Oh sure, they also pitch new services now and again, but it is not the constant sales pitch that seems to drive other places to exercise. One of my goals is to reduce knee pain and one of the trainers has set me up with good program to target the muscles around my knees. He checks on my frequently, and after a couple of weeks my knees are feeling much better. Thank you for reading my somewhat disorganized thoughts. It is good for my spirit to record some of these thoughts and ideas. I hope your day is a fantastic one!
