never quit on your goals

Friday, February 03, 2017

first i'd like to thank: PGORYGORY, MOONGLOWSNANA, GGRSPARK and LOSEDAPOUNDS. without their kind words on my last blog, I wouldn't be writing another one on SP. I do appreciate that you encouraged me to blog for both others and importantly for myself.

I started with 120# I wanted to lose in 2 years or less. that is the big goal but as SP articles encourage breaking down the big goal into mini-goals that are time specific (part of SMART), I have done that also. my first mini-goal was losing 11# in 11 weeks which ended new years day. surprisingly with the holidays and all, I made that goal with little trouble. so my next mini-goal was to be down to 260 by spring break when I plan on going home for a visit. this has proven to be harder and I've lost only a few tenths of a pound the last couple of weeks. so I've been thinking what do I do if I don't make the mini-goal? and I figured out that the answer is easy as quitting or giving up is NOT an option. I adjust my mini-goal and keep working to lose weight. I do it the right way using the tools on SP as any attempt to take a shortcut will not be a healthy one.

so whatever happens, just keep working toward your goals. it may not happen in your time frame but as long as you don't quit then you are a winner.

emoticon We did not put this excess weight on overnight and won't be disappearing that fast either. Just keep taking it one day at a step at a time. You may struggle BUT NEVER GIVE UP! YOU are worth this journey! Wishing you the very best!
