What a day!

Well, yesterday we went for a nice hike in the forest beside a gurgling stream... very nice, good temp with winter tights and my cords I was comfy.
So today... silly dog was determined to have me out of bed by 8:30am.... Which gave me time to do a 2 mi walk with Leslie and the gang and have a bubble bath and get to church on time.
We had someone new walk into our church and she misunderstood and took offence to what the pastor was saying about "cracked pots". anyway two of the most unlikely people went out and comforted her and made her feel welcome. Fast forward to going home. I turned onto the main street and was almost in a 3 car accident... luckily, quick reflexes with the foot and the horn hand prevented it...Wooo!!
Went to the city to attend the first session of our "Isle of STory" Festival... This is Canada's 150th year and they are going to try to tell 150 stories during this festival. (we got 20 today) The storyteller-in-residence at the library started off with his stories and some invited guests and authors told stories and he opened it up to the audience. YES, I DID! I put my hand up and for first time ever, I went in front of the audience and told the story that I posted on myglacebay.com... I forgot many parts of it because I was not prepared and had no idea I was going to do that....came to an interesting conclusion that I didn't pre-plan either. . quite exhilarating, actually. Also, the head of the library was there and I spoke of my published story on the library and she acknowledged in front of everyone, that it was a very good story.
I am also registered for a workshop on Saturday with Robert Seven Crows Bourdon.... he is world-renown, but has a special place in his heart for Cape Breton, so he fitted us in, and with a special grant it has been made available to 15 of us for FREE.
And now I am watching the newly produced Anne of Green Gables series on CBC...
Good day to all!
