The great big beautiful out of doors.

Saturday, May 13, 2017

My friend Connie messaged me encouraging me to visit the parks and trails.. I replied, "Thanks Connie for that reminder. I DO love the outdoors. That's kind of gone by the wayside but I WILL get it back. Now that I am 62 (shhhh) I hope to get a golden pass .. or silver.. whichever it is where you can into all the national parks for nothing. Do you have one? My parents did and enjoyed using theirs frequently. I do have a friend that would probably enjoy walking with me and I need to call her and set up something on a regular basis. I have a beautiful state park less than a mile away. There are also walking paths on an old railroad line that are beautifully landscaped."
Then I put a emoticon
(I know this is sort of cheating.. but I sometimes blog to remind ME of the important stuff.)

I just noticed this after I put a comment on your page. We hope to buy that National Park Pass soon. Although we don't have too many places in FL we can go to national wise, but for future travel would be nice to have it! Glad you blogged about we will wait in anticipation of your future blogs of your hiking adventures with pics I hope! I know it is going to start getting hotter as the summer hits, so make sure to take a nice mopping towelette with you and I have a neck fan I use I bought at Walmart, that blows air up to my neck and face...really helps! emoticon emoticon emoticon
