Day 10 - LOVE Journal Prompt - What are your strengths?

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

• When it comes to this area of your life, the area where you feel stuck, where can you give love? What do you love about yourself that you may forget sometimes? What strengths do you have that may lie dormant or that you could use more often? What has worked in the past? What strengths have you used? What parts of you do you want to strengthen and use more?

The best love you can ever have, Self-love. Without that you can’t love anyone or anything else. I learned at an early age that I am “the man”, no other way to put it. Even if you don’t feel that way I know I am something. I always put myself on a very high pedestal and to this point it’s only a few people who have the power to bring me down. With that the people who have that power I know they will never use it. But I digress, I just feel like you must have self-love to be a better person. Love flaws and all cause that’s what makes you who you are.
Cliché but I imagine love being a purplish-reddish with a hint of blue. “Imagine as you breathe in, that color enters your body and hits every corner of you being”. “Your strengths are your core. Your ability to overcome the obstacles in front of you.”
I realize my biggest struggle is trying to find balance in life between the expectations that were placed on me and what I want to be. I’m stuck on trying to mix the two and to make the best choice. I can show myself that I am who am who I am. I love the fact that I am resilient and the fact that I can make it through any situation. I often forget that I am stronger than I give myself credit for. I want to strengthen the brain to let myself know more times than none I am in control of the world around me.
