Thanks for the mention Richard! There's no question that finding the right balance of protein, carbs and fat for your individual body and then working consistently within that formula works wonders. My arthritis pain went away in less than 1 week on this plan. I can also testify that if you return to the addictive carbs it takes a long time to get fully back on track, despite pain, fatigue and weight stall -- that's how addictive sugar and flour can be for some folks like me. The "cleaner" one eats, the more the body and mind heals. I have found it has much less to do with calories (although they remain important) and exercise than I thought.

I'm so thankful that I found Keto! Never in my life have I lost weight without being hungry! AND no exercise needed. I think one of the stumbling blocks for many people are the artificial sweeteners and such. If you never break the addiction to sweets, it will haunt you. I can smell donuts at the bakery, remember the good old days, and move on. I don't need to recreate that any longer. Another item is dairy. Many people don't realize how inflammatory dairy is. Giving it up could be the difference between success and failure. Peanuts are another problem area. They are not nuts. They are grown in the ground and are legumes and highly inflammatory. I see a lot of recipes for peanut butter bombs that also have artificial sweeteners.... double jeopardy! If you don't HEAL yourself, you won't be well. When your body has healing to do, it puts weight loss on the side burner. I have been a slow, steady loser. None of that quick stuff. As I became fat adapted, I began to eat less often, just naturally, until now I usually only eat in the evening. I'm just not hungry the rest of the time. After doing that for a while, I began dabbling in fasting. I've done 2- 3day fasts and am finishing my 2 day fast tonight. It's been far easier than I could have imagined! My body now knows to go get my stored fat for energy, so it doesn't bug me when I don't eat. I fasted through my daughter's Bridal Shower last weekend with no difficulty. I was not even tempted to lick my fingers as I cut the cake. I see those carbs as poison to me now! And they are! They are the root of most diseases including Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Cholesterol, High B/P, Crohn's Disease, MS, RA, IBS, Cancer, Acid Reflux, and the list goes on and on. I did some medical research last fall and wrote a summary. As a nurse, I was shocked at what I found! We can heal ourselves with FOOD! But, there's no money to be made if we did, so who would be promoting it? No One! Calories in/Calories out doesn't work. Low fat doesn't work! Most of us have proven that! There were studies done many, many years ago to prove these things, but since it wasn't logical to those reading it, they rejected it and made that awful food pyramid where you are supposed to eat 4x more carbs than anything else! Where has that gotten us? Sick and Fat! I'm done with all of that. I've gone to unprocessed, natural, whole foods.... foods that still have their nutrients intact. THAT is how I'm healing MY body!

    Thank you Richard.

I've wondered how it would work for me but it seems as if I don't have the time to really dig into it as properly as I should!

Thanks for sharing Richard. They have surely done fine on keto. I'll have to look more into it as at the moment from what I can see it does not work with the proper principals of food combining.

Dr. Eric Berg talks a lot in his free video's about being in a state of ketosis so perhaps you are onto something.

Do you follow it fairly strictly yourself? How do you find it? I'd be interested to see how you are doing with it!

    Thanks for sharing emoticon
