sleep over

thanks for all the comments on yesterdays blog.

We had a clear night and went on a full moon walk in our neighborhood just around 9 pm. Our granddaughter had insisted that she was going to stay up all night and we of course told her .. sure you can, knowing full well she'd not only hit midnight. The moon was absolutely beautiful last night and for our walk we gave the kiddo a small flash light as a safety feature so she wouldn't trip over her feet in her big cowgirl boots she insisted on wearing. Unfortunately those boots also got the attention of every dog in the neighborhood. lol, I'm sure we got some annoyed neighbors when all the dogs let loose last night. After we got back the kiddo had only enough "umpf" for a short bedtime story and was out for the night.

We have a house rule when our granddaughter comes over, that is no TV. She watches as many children do enough TV at home, so she doesn't need to come over and watch more of it. Here she plays and we all play together or we color and paint, and craft or still play with play dough. She also loves cooking with us... and even little chores like catching dust bunnies. She earns a dollar for it and tucks it away proudly. She is always on the move and after she leaves ... we need a day to recoup. She wears us out, but we wouldn't miss it for the world.
