All of my fat cells ....
Wednesday, November 01, 2017
... hurt! They jiggled, joggled, gurgled, galumphed about in a very ungainly manner, wobbled, and thumped up and down as one solid mass, and - did I mention it - hurt ... as I went for my first run in a very (okay, add about another hundred of the very) long time.
I huffed and puffed in a very unladylike red-faced shellshocked 'what the heck am I doing' style but
I set my plan and I followed it.
I did not look glamorous and I did not (and still do not) care and, guess what, neither did anyone else. Get out there and do it because that's what people actually notice
Over time I will run the whole course without stopping and I will get faster and my fat cells will lessen and the determined remainders will no longer bother to protest against me but that is the future me, not the today me. Am I upset that I couldn't run the whole course in one go? - certainly not - slow progress is still progress and realistic progress and goals are the way to get to where you want to be.
Today I did it and I will do it again, and in the following days, weeks, and months I will do it .. again and again
