So this is Thanksgiving week and I am officially starting the 60 minute walk cycle. I was going to wait till after the holiday, but why ? really... what difference does the holiday make.
My plan is to walk 60 minutes every other day on the treadmill at various speeds and inclines until I get 3 miles in. Today I managed 2.86 miles at speeds from 2.7 to 3.3 mph and inclines from 0 to briefly 5; the majority I walked at 3 mph at incline level 3 and 4.... so I did pretty good today! Afterwards I did a bunch of stretches, my leg work and then pulled 140 lbs. on my cable machine... I just upped that, so I managed 2 sets of 12 each in each hand position. I ended my session with free weights on the bench.
on the odd days when I am not walking the 60 min. I am alternating between riding the bike, walking outside, yard work and my ergometer. the weather changed over night... it dropped a good 35 degrees and all the wind we had yesterday was fierce enough to knock a good load of leaves off. So now I can work out in my yard by raking, picking up and bagging leaves... lol. My favorite fall work out.
