It's worth a try - Day 1
Thursday, November 30, 2017
I haven't blogged in over two years.
My last blog was about my DNF at the Twin Cities Marathon. I went on to finish five marathons the following year.
After having an excellent running year, the past year has been one of sloth.
I haven't increased my eating, but my weight and the rolls of fat have gone up. Sloth and age.
My life has had its ups and downs, but for the most part, it has improved vastly in the last two years. So what gives?
Worries about what I would do with myself when I retire preoccupied me for about six months. I think I've sorted that out - I still don't know, but I don't worry. It's another couple of years away in any event.
I've started traveling more, having fun, doing different things. So what gives?
I don't know, but I need to be present in my own life, and I guess writing a blog or two will keep me there.
I need to make one good choice daily. whatever that is. My superpower is choice, and I need to exercise it.
Yesterday's choice was a short run, even though I wasn't feeling it.
We will see what today will bring.
