I am changing some stuff on my trackers and goal pages. I been so busy making sure that I meet all the goals and challenges that I forgot for a minute what I am doing here. Yes its going great, but that is because I have a routine and I follow my body's cues to do what needs doing. I drink the water not because my tracker says to drink at least 8 cup today; but I drink it because it's routine now and my body needs it. The same goes for walking.

I walk because it feels great and my body gets restless and "itchy" ... you know the feeling. You want to do something but can't decide what and pick up a cookie or a bowl of ice cream because it distracts you from the real issue. ... the need to move and go outside and do something active. Our bodies were not meant to be couch potatoes, that is a trained response.

We are hunters, gatherers and collectors. We are suppose to be busy little squirrels and I just forgot for some time how to do that. Now I am changing the stuff I track or track at all, because it makes me tired and gives me the wrong feelings. Am I tracking because I don't want the online community to see I forgot to add weights to my routine today ?!? ... or not to see that I had a bag of chips for snack... which I didn't.. lol.

So I am going to sit back and do what needs doing, but not snap to the computer every time and record it. I really don't care about the points, but I want to know how many miles I logged this week. I want to see how much weight I lost over time and I want to hear what my friends have to say and respond to your posts. But That Is IT!

...so I am changing a few things. Most of you won't even notice the difference.

You're right - different things work for different people. I track the things that are motivating or important to ME. The fact that I'm not tracking or hitting targets that might be important to other people is irrelevant!

I understand your thinking. I REALLY like your point "Our bodies were not meant to be couch potatoes, that is a trained response. We are hunters, gatherers and collectors."
