Just call me Old Fashion

So today is my first day at yet another online school because let's be honest...I'm going to be a forever student. Anyways in my class there's a Class Mixer assignment where of course I share a bit about myself. Obviously I'm the only person that's gotten my play on words with the title of my blog entry.
Class Mixer...Old Fashion....Get it?
It's okay if you don't, I'm really stretching this one.
Any-whorooni I thought maybe someone out there in spark land who doesn't actually know anything about me would enjoy my discussion about myself. If you're not interested please feel free to skip forward.
Well, hello there.
I’m a simple southern girl that dropped her entire simple southern life and made her way to The Windy City three months ago. I’m currently working as an accountant, which is unsurprisingly what I’m going to school for, and spending my free time trying to figure out how people survive temperatures lower than 40 degrees. This is my first white winter, yawl.
I reside with my rad companion, a basil plant brilliantly named Michael Basil, and two obese cats. Ginger and LP are currently dieting so don’t you worry and Michael Basil, well he’s doing pretty good too. My companion and I enjoy the normal things including cooking pizza with little bits of Michael Basil, watching Planet Earth II, and passing gas silently while waiting for the other to smell.
My favorite piece of literature will always be The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, my favorite podcast is Last Podcast on the Left, my favorite morning show is WFMU Wake and Bake with Clay Pigeon, and my favorite lyrical masterpiece is Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie.
My current aspiration is to become as successful in life as possible without changing who I am as a person.
It's nice to meet everyone.
Pretty cute huh??
I know. I know. If you look up lame in the dictionary you'd see my face. I get that. I can't help it. There's always time for a little silly laugh about yourself right?
