Finding out I was diabetic in 2004 started my journey. I was just under 300 lbs. Eight years of work and 102 lbs down, my diagnosis was reversed. Then the hard work started. Up and down, up and down. Up to 222, down to 195. Back and forth so many times over the next 5 years. Six more months of caring for an ill husband and an injury and I was back up to 222. In February 2018 (at 212 lbs.), I recommitted to Spark People. My walking buddy also joined. Together we have encouraged, prodded, laughed and cried together. Here I am 18 pounds down - 191 - woot, woot!
My lowest weight as an adult was 182. That is my first major goal. And now I believe I can reach it! Then I'll set the next one.
