Well I had to go into the city to go to the bank. on my way back home, I decided to use my Walgreen points as they had our bath tissue on sale. I do not shop Walmart so I shop Walgreens and make the most of their point system. I clip the coupons to my card, purchase the items when on sale and offer additional points. In the beginning they did not let points expire so I could collect over 100000 points in a year. Now I get notices how many points I have and how many will expire when. I save my points until I can save on my big purchases. I combine these purchases with their sale price and coupons. The points are work $1 each but 35000 equal $40 and 40000 points $50.00. I purchased 7 12 roll packs yesterday, a bottle of cold water and a small bag of M&Ms. I used 40000 points and had to pay $4.20 for this purchased. I came home and stored the bath tissue. As Hubby said, we will probably not have to purchase again the rest of the year. That's okay as I use the points on my paper towels also. When they go on sale also. I purchased those n February and still have a number of those packs. After checking out the lady behind we walked up to me while I was putting them in my car and asked me how I did this. She said she spends all her points everytime she goes in, I explained to her about clipping the coupons, clipping the extra points when available, purchasing the items when on sale and when they are offering additional points. My shopping the week before with Walgreens had given my 12000 points with the additional points available on some of the items I use and the special points when purchasing 2 of certain items. This is no problem as long as it is merchanded we use.
Their sale prices apply with their rewards card and my coupons are clipped to that card from their ads and reward emails.
