the scale

Saturday, August 11, 2018

for about the last 3 weeks I have only weighed once a week on Monday. before i'd weigh maybe 3 or 4 times during the week to see how I was doing. if I was doing well then I could cheat a little and if I was doing bad then what difference did it make if I ate a little comfort food. knowing all this it still is hard every time I see the scale not to want to check on how i'm doing. the scale is in my bathroom so I see it several times every day. I could try putting it out of sight but then I might forget to weigh on Monday plus don't really have a good place where I feel it would be safe (remember I feel like need to rent storage space to get rid of clutter). so i'll see if it gets any easier with time as new habits are suppose to.

Good luck. I too used to do every day and now I do once a week. Sometimes a do a second weigh in if I feel I am doing well or really bad to keep me on track but I just do Fridays for the most part. That was my Weight Watchers Day too so it worked well. Good luck!

Have to agree w/1SUZIQ11 -- if you forgot to weigh in for a Monday, the world wouldn't end. AND might give you time to change your relationship w/he scale. THAT was a HUGE thing for me. My attitude about myhealthy lifestyle was totally determined by the scale. BUT I began to realize, it shows a #. Nothing else. Doesn't show an increase in energy, clothes fitting better, positive attitude about life in general. Those are so very important. Maybe focus on health vs. weight for awhile. I have been here since 2007 and that's another huge lesson I learned. focusing on weight was just . . . plain . . . frustrating. When I switched my focus to health, magic happened. Oh, not quickly, but over time. Just telling you this because it will happen for you.

I used to weigh every day. But now I only weigh on Wednesdays. Your body fluctuates too much.

I only weigh in on Wednesday (for my team challenge). I keep the scales under the bed then I don't have to look at them all the time. Best wishes!

I weigh myself when my clothing feels looser. I allow myself a slip back once in awhile. If it is too often, though, I know rewarding myself will be a punishment when I use the scales. That is me #1 talking today, because I am strong today. Lol!

I would think that if it helps your outlook, accidentally forgetting to weigh in on Monday would not be a bad thing necessarily. It might even help you to stay faithful to healthy eating so that you don't reward yourself with food because you see a loss on the scale. I know lots of people who don't use a scale at all (I'm not one of them however lol).I'd out it away for awhile though just to prove that I can do it.
