So Far Doing Okay

I have been busy this afternoon cleaning up a small flooding mess in our workshop. We have had so much rain that the water has no where to go. My son did a lot of digging behind the building to create a better drainfield so hopefully that will help. I still have tarps in the driveway and hopefully tomorrow the sun will dry them out. This is nothing compared to NC so I won't complain, but it was time consuming. Also I think my favorite orbital sander was soaked and probably ruined. It was sitting on the floor (mea culpa) which I will never do again now that I know this could happen. I do have a detail sander which I got for my birthday but I will have to replace my Dewalt orbital as it is my main workhorse sander.
I did great with my diet today -- better than yesterday and my brain is getting into gear with more motivation and I'm finding ways to cut calories and so that is better.
I got lots of exercise out there cleaning up the mess with lots of steps. Still I did my treadmill so I am really on track. So far so good. Didn't get any painting done but I will work on that tomorrow. I will get some sleep tonite and get some work done tomorrow on a bombay chest. I'm going to put poly on the top that is stained, and do more work filling spots on the bottom. The drawers are primed and ready for painting while the cabinet still needs prep work. It was heavily distressed and I'm not a fan of heavy distressing so I'm filling in those spots and will paint over them. I know, TMI, but such is my life.
Hope you all had a great day and are not under water.
Take care all,
