Sleep Study Results

Monday, November 26, 2018

I claimed last post I was back and then I wasn’t. I’m sorry for that. I don’t know that I am back even now but I wanted to check in and say hello to my friends here and catch up on how you are doing. Since I last checked in I went for a new sleep study. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Which is good news as the treatment may help make a difference in my disabling symptoms, the main one being relentless fatigue. Sleep apnea can contribute to weigh issues as the body struggles through the day it looks for energy by sending signals to consume more food. Yikes! It can also cause depression, which I’ve been challenged with. I’m told by my Respitory Therapist there’s a focus in their field to help women in particular as they have a higher rate of depression that can be lifted with sleep therapy. I thought I’d share in the event it’s relevant to you or someone you know. Get checked.
