The weather has not been conducive for trail running and the dreadmill literally hurts my body. (Although, I will run on it occasionally.) I continue to move, though.
I am doing lots of strength training. I am participating in an arm and a pushup challenge for the month of December. I am getting ready for The Big Red Challenge in June. It's like a Spartan race, but I am doing it with a team. We will be helping each other, but mainly helping a lady in a wheelchair to complete the 7k obstacle course. I believe we are all women, except for one man. Luckily he's much younger!
I like the feeling and look of muscle on my arms, back and shoulders. I am missing running, though. I've also been doing lap swimming and water workouts. Next month, I want to try some weight training classes and get back to yoga classes. I am using that gym membership!
As long as I am moving, I am happy. I can't do much about the aging process, but moving does help. Looser skin, slower running times to avoid injury, not running when it's icy, etc, are all part of getting older, but I'm ok with that. I'll do what I can as long as I can and enjoy it.
May we all be happily moving.
