no more line dancing

Friday, January 04, 2019

I only lasted a few minutes into the second song today when I tried a line dancing class. I was in the back row and I couldn't think or do much of anything when we were to turn around and I had nobody to watch. I wasn't doing that great on the first dance but at least could watch the instructor, I was trying and could go in correct direction. So spent some time on puzzle. Next week guess I'll be back at gym doing bike on the non-pool days.

We'll see if I can do any better in the would-be writer's class starting next week and going for 6 weeks.

Have a great weekend.

You can probably find lessons on YouTube. Practice makes perfect. It takes me several days and sometimes weeks to learn the step sequence to a new exercise video. Don't quit...you'll get it. I'll bet there are others in that class who feel the same way you do. Ask the instructor to introduce to some of the newest members.

Good luck!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

If you think you will enjoy it once you learn the steps then you may be able to practice using YouTube. If it’s just not your thing then don’t continue with something you don’t like. I like Zumba because you don’t have to do the exact step the instructors doing and can modify it any way you want. Just keep moving!

Don't quite. Go in before class and talk to instructor. Explain you desire to learn but are having trouble learning the steps. Lordy I am the slowest learner in the world. I would watch videos and stop and start them a hundred times. But eventually learned enough steps to be able to scoot across the floor.

emoticon emoticon Don’t give up so easily. My instructor stated it could take like 5 lessons to finally get it right. I enjoy it as it doesn’t seem like exercising at all. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey, you, Rome wasn’t built in a day. It took me weeks to master the basic salsa step when I first started my classes. The only thing I never could manage was the double spin, but I had to stop because I was going to salsa for two and a half hours after a long day teaching, and then I met my husband who just doesn’t dance, but never mind, I still dance on even8ngs out and work out for my exercise...
    All the best!
