The picture is like the water dumbbells used at the gym. Until I took the water aerobics class I had never seen nor heard of them. I like them because they keep my arms moving when I walk in the water. On Sat. we had a different instructor for the water fit class but she said she wasn't going to be our permanent teacher. I usually get to class 10-15 minutes before it starts and I just walk in the pool with my dumbbells until class starts. Most teachers do not want you to use them except at their instructions. I put the weights at the edge of the pool and you can't put them parallel to the pool or they will roll away from the pool. So during the water class the teacher usually has you do some warm up stuff and then to get the dumbbells for a while. Put then up and later pick them up again. So we had done the first set with the weights and I put them back. The second time I went to put them on the edge, the teacher took them from me which kind of surprised me and then she put them down so that they rolled away from the edge and I couldn't reach them. That upset me a little because I wasn't sure if I'd now have to get out of the pool to get them to put them up after class. We did one last set using just one which she handed me as I couldn't reach them and I got to put it down so it didn't roll back. At the end of class the instructor picked up my dumbbells and said she'd put them up. I must have looked funny cause she then asked if that was ok and I said sure but I haven't emptied them. You can fill one side with water which most of us do but they usually want you to put them up without water in them. Now everyone in class was using them and I wasn't the last person to get to the edge and put them up so I'm not sure why she seemed to have a problem with me and my dumbbells. I really thought it was funny after it was over and I was just sitting in the hot tub. The only thing I can think of is maybe I had splashed her when I put them up the first time. I do kind of shake them when I take out of the water.
Have a great week all.
