Rice Cauliflower fooled me today!

I'm not eating any white carbs 6 days a week right now. So, I got this "fried rice" that is actually cauliflower with other veggies to have as a side dish for my stir-fry and when I poured it out I started worrying about how much I had on my plate. I had to remind myself that it isn't rice. (Doh!) It didn't taste like cauliflower so that was great for me as I'm not a cauliflower fan.
Most of the time I'm not missing or craving anything. However, when I do think about how something like a pretzel would be great, I can pretty much deal with it as if I really want it I can have it on Saturday (my cheat day). Being able to have a cheat day is making it a lot easier to stick to the food group restrictions as it's only for 6 days.
I did the Whole 30 before and the thing that made it after the 30 days was denying myself all of those foods for so long. At least for me, this wasn't the best choice. Everyone is different.
But having that cheat day is pretty much what ended up happening in any case when I was on WW. You have extra points for that situation. While this time, I don't have to track every taste, lick and bite of food.
Last night I had daal and chicken sausage for dinner and it was really tasty. I know that is an odd combination but it turned out better than I had hoped. I'll probably have it again tonight. I'm saving my other dish for lunch as it makes me really happy to have in the middle of the day.
