New weight goal?

At the beginning of my weight loss I had set a goal for my weight to be right in the middle of my normal BMI, that being 122 pounds. The journey began in June 2018. Weight loss was steady and consistent, although there was a plateau for about a month in December. I have found that the last few weeks my weight wants to be around 124. I have bounced up and down and have gotten as low as 122.6, but the scale bounces right back up again. Which brings about the question.....should 124 be the new weight goal? I feel healthy and look good, so why not? Has anyone had this happen to them? Did you stop and start maintenance, or do the final few pounds eventually come off? I feel like I haven't met my personal goal, but 2 pounds honestly is not make it or break it.

It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it.     Agree w/RAYLIN totally. Stay @ this weight for awhile, and that will do 2 things: give you time to decide if this is where you want to be and it will also let your brain catch up to your weight loss!

    Thank you both. I like the idea of staying put for a bit and then seeing what's what. I am exactly 3 inches taller, Raylin!

    The scale really is just a number. It will not show muscle vs fat.

    If your body is happy at 124, stay there - at least for a few months. Then you can always decide later if you want/need to go lower.

    It's called a "goal" and it's not mandatory. Because I didn't think I could make it again, I set my goal higher this time but I just kept beating it. Now I am burning way more calories than the last time I lost the weight, so I am letting my body decide how low I will go.

    But I'm "Vertically Challenged" at 5' and you might be several inches taller. Relax and go with the flow.
