The ups and downs of maintenance, literally!

I have seen the ups and downs of maintenance, literally! Mainly they are from a device that flashes numbers when you step on it. It can really play with the mind, but....

My pants size is a bit bigger, but it has to be hold all the muscle that I'm building. The scale is staying in the same range, somewhat, but again I have added muscle.

I realize tighter clothes can mean something good. My legs are more toned and my adult daughters keep telling me I've got a butt now. Hmm, a good thing? If they say so, then ok!

I am eating the same and 80% of the time clean. I have found that even when I eat "well," I stay in the same range. I can't seem to get break the plateau. Maybe my body is saying, "Yes, right here is great."

I feel strong. Every time I am done with a class, I feel more muscles. I like that good sore feeling, but realize I need to continue upping the weight to make gains.

I am getting my money's worth. I go to the gym about 5 times a week. Spinning, group power, lap swimming, and water exercise class all are held early in the morning so I start my day off right. Soon I'll be using my mountain bike and running on the dirt again. I am' so blessed.

I am at the stage in my life where I have to account for age. Previous injuries, less than supple skin, and other changes in my body are facts of life. I am blessed and I know it!
