A personal challenge

Saturday, March 02, 2019

I've been thinking for the last few days about why I have such trouble following the preset goals and milestones that seem to work for so many. I was thinking about it and what I came up with is that many of the goals deal with losing weight by eating less. My personal problem is on the opposite side of the spectrum. I routinely eat less than 500 calories and drink so much coffee that I can't tell when I'm hungry. As such, I binge eat every few days as my body tries to gobble as much as it can.

I have thought a lot about this and I've come to a new conclusion. Here at SparkPeople a lot of store is put on milestones leading to breakthroughs. I've decided to make some new goals for myself. I'm writing them down here and above my desk so I see them.

Goal 1: To eat something for every meal.
Goal 2: 2 cups of drip coffee a day or 1 store bought
Goal 3: No eating after 8 pm (unless its a late dinner)
Goal 4: Pack a lunch/snack at least every work day
Goal 5: Utilize the Hungry Girl recipes at least 4 days a week

Each new week, I will add a new goal. The first week I will be doing Goals 1 and 5. I know adding too much at once can be detrimental but I've been doing a lot of prep with the HG recipes so I feel like it will beneficial. I'm writing these goals in my planner and on my phone so I can track my progress. I will also be posting here.

I hope you all have a great weekend.
