Looking Forward to Summer
Saturday, March 30, 2019
The snow is melting. And I am thinking of all the things I want to do this Summer.
I'm not worried about dieting for that beach body. I'm thinking of all the fun I want to have.
All the life I am going to enjoy.
My starts for my garden have been started. Plan on doing more than last year. It's so nice to grab a fresh salad from my own garden. The neighbors noticed last year's efforts and that felt like such an accomplishment.
Going to be going on walks to the lake with my new puppy. It will be nice to have a companion and the views are beautiful and peaceful.
I have my Goldpass to Silverwood. Our local amusement park. My son would live there. Last year I could walk through the whole park.
But instead of just sitting and watching everyone else have fun, I rode the rides. I could float down the lazy river with a tube. Use to be too big for the tubes. Just floated on my own. A tube seems like such a silly thing, but it's still a big accomplishment to me.
My sister tries to tease me about getting old. I told I am not getting older. I'm getting younger. I'm doing things I haven't done for decades.
I am wearing jeans. Still find that amazing.
I am hoping to rent a kayak with my husband. Looks like fun.
Going to make a list of Summer things I want to do. And recipes to help me accomplish my Summer goals without going off my eating plan.
And when I am feeling tempted, I can remind myself that it doesn't taste better than riding a roller coaster, kayaking, or floating down the lazy river
