Changing it up.

I have been busy at the gym this winter. My normal week is one day of spinning, soon to be two; two days of weight group active class; one day of swimming laps; and walking the dog the other days. I am now running more than walking since the weather has finally turned to more springlike. We ran 5.5 miles yesterday.
I wondered how gym time vs. running over the winter would pan out. I am happy to say it has done me well. I average a slightly faster pace and my cardio is as good as last fall. I think the added muscle has helped, too. I bought new shoes and I think that helped make yesterday's run glorious.
Today in my Facebook memories was the one year anniversary of running my 50 mile "race." It's one I doubt my body will be able to do again and I am fine with that. I'd rather run with my dog and my sole sisters than all the miles.
Now to get my bike out and get on the road and trail with it!
