Starting An Exercise Routine

Keep it simple is what I'm telling myself. One, I get short of breath too fast. Two, if it's too intense can flare my inflammation more. Three, if it's hard I know I'll get discouraged fast so I must find something I can stick with. What is the plan?

I want to do 20 minutes of marching a day. I know that sounds so small but I tried today just marching and by four minutes I started having shoulder pain/ weakness and shortness of breath. I do not want to discourage myself I want to start something I feel I can do and build to more.

I'm going to set an alarm to go off every two hours and each time march in place on a padded floor for 4-5 minutes.In a typical ten hour day that will be twenty to twenty-five minutes. I think this is realistic for my health concerns and the weight on my joints.

It may seem small but baby steps matter in life right, if they didn't we wouldn't be so tickled at our children's little successes. I can be proud of my baby steps too. So here goes my new exercise goal. I'm hoping by July I'll be able to up my march time but we will see.

If a small seed can become a beautiful flower then a small march could become my marathon, why not!
