day thirty-nine

Monday, July 08, 2019

We got home about 12:30 am and all went to bed. I drove the first part of the trip and the last. They didn't get home from KC until 2 am which means I didn't sleep as well and the boys got little sleep. Isaiah slept while I drove in the morning and then he drove after driving a lot the day before. I should have talked to them about when they would come back as I should have known my sister is a night owl and wouldn't think about coming home sooner. Guess it all worked out and the boys both said they had a great time.
The weigh-in this morning was worse than I thought (hoped) it would be. I gained 8.2 # in a week. Now how can you gain so fast when it takes so long to lose it? I know that I won't be able to lose it in a week but hope it doesn't take as long as it did to come off the first time. I'm looking forward to water fit tomorrow and it was good to get back on plan today. I will need to shop as little fruit and veggies in frig.
It was good to get Pebbles home and have given him a few extra treats today. It really is too bad that he doesn't like to ride in car as he could go with us sometimes but even a short ride to groomers or vets is hard when he whines and barks the whole way. Usually he is quieter on the way back home but not today. Guess he was telling us he wasn't happy we left him.
For the most part my knee isn't hurting and a lot of the time I don't even think about it as all is well but some of the time it seems stiff and hard to walk on when first stand up. I'm sure that will also pass before long and it will be back to normal. I'm very happy that it is no longer hurting.
Can't really think of anything else. It was the best trip home I can remember. Everyone seemed happy and none of us had any issues with each other like my family usually has. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes for me and my boys.
Have a great week everyone.

Glad that the trip was a success.

As for the weight gain, bet lots of it is water weight. WE can't control salt content when we're not preparing food. Hard! Keep drinking the water. You know it'll come off. It's hard, but it'll happen.

Depending on what you ate, maybe a lot the weight gain will be water weight. Water fit class tomorrow and fresh fruits and veggies. It will happen.

It sounds like you and DSs had a great time with your family. especially if it was the best trip home ever.

Welcome home. Get some rest. emoticon
