2 September 19 *It's Time*

Boy, it's been a while since I last blogged. 31 Dec 18 to be exact. So much has changed. So much has stayed the same.

My goals are still the same. Some progress was made, but not a lot. I completed a round of Whole30 in June. It was amazing! I beat the Sugar Dragon and found my Tiger Blood! I lost 17 pounds total and have been able to maintain that.

Unfortunately, I injured my back in July and have been out of commission for most of July and August. Between the chiropractor and now my Primary Care Dr, I have been diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease and Arthritis in my lower back. I will start physical therapy this week. The pain and lack of mobility also led to emotional and comfort eating. Back on the sugar train I jumped. It started slowly, but has steadily gained momentum. I still have my coffee without sugar, but the treats and ice cream keep calling my name. I know that my diet is causing more inflammation and isn't helping my already stressed system. Why do I give in? Why am I so weak?

It's a new season and I'm going to take advantage of the fresh start. The kids are in school, so I have the time to devote to shopping for healthy foods, getting my exercise in and working on my person goals as well. I even updated my Spark page today, which hasn't been done since last year (check it out!).

I got a new type of goal planner called PowerSheets by Lara Casey (thanks Karri for the idea!) that I am using for this second half of the year. You really dig deep into what areas you want to work on and sort your priorities and come up with a game plan to work towards. It's helping me focus and narrow down the steps I can take for success in the areas of my life I want to work on: faith, family, health, relationships, home, finances. Little by little, I'm working on them. Small positive choices add up to good things.

It's time. Time for progress to be made. Time for healthy choices. Time for renewed faith. Time to move. Time to learn. Time to grow.

    Love Powersheets and love using them with the Living Well Planner (Thank you!!). It's time for a change for me too, if only my health would cooperate! I'm still dealing with bad insomnia and mania, and, well, I'll message you later with the more personal bits, but it is not fun! I'm trying to set things up to accomplish my goals, little by little and set out a good plan. Eat That Frog is an awesome book to read after you read Ruth Soukup's Do It Scared (or even on it's own) I would recommend the workbook as it dives even deeper!!
