Ever so often, I reset my goals based on my (typically increasing) starting weight and my desired overall end goal weight, re-adjusting how long it will take me tho get there... I break it down into smart goals and smaller milestones, and typically about a year later, I go through this whole process again. This time I am trying something different.
A week ago, I realized that if I stay on track and lose approximately 2 pounds a week (very doable) I could be under 200 pounds by Christmas! I decided that what I really want for Christmas is to weigh less than 200 pounds!!! I shared this desire with my daughter who weighs just a bit less than me. . We have been unsuccessful accountability partners for a couple of years now... She decided she wants the same thing for Christmas.
So, I redid my goal here on Sparkpeople. I am working on my Christmas present to me! Christmas is our favorite holiday, so I think that keeping my focus on Christmas will help. I am excited and motivated! I have told anyone who well listen about my goal and invited (strongly urged) then to ask me questions about my progress. This time will be different! I will succeed!!!
