Happy Thanksgiving From A Canadian
Monday, October 14, 2019
It is Thanksgiving weekend for Canadians. I had my children and grandchildren for a 1:30 PM meal and it was FANTASTIC. Nope - no calorie counting. No judging what to eat or not to eat. I simply enjoyed my delicious meal and the wonderful feeling of having both of my kids here with me.
A dear friend has just been diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer and the diagnosis came out of the blue with little/few warning signals that anything was wrong.
With this sad news in front of her and on my mind, it made this Thanksgiving EXTRA special for me. Never ever lose the wonderful feeling of being surrounded by loved ones, no matter how chaotic. No matter how much work. No matter how petty the issues - love them, embrace them and enjoy every single minute of your time together.
