bad news and unrelated bad behavior

Got letter from son and I quote this part: 'I have six stress fractures and two shin splints.  The stress fractures are located in both knees and both heels.  There are two in each knee, they are in the tibia and femur.  It sounds a lot worse than it actually is.' He goes on to say he could have taken a medical discharge but declined. Not what I hoped to hear about his injury.
Today at water fit class the teacher was really on a mission about the water weights. First she tells everyone that they should dump the water out if they have water in them. She said that they are lighter in the water with water in them so you shouldn't have water in them when using in the water but put water in them if using out of the water. I said that that isn't what some of the other instructors say about having water in them when using in the water. I had asked a few teachers when I first heard that sometime last year. She said they are wrong but really there isn't that much difference and most teachers tell you to do it which way you like it best. I left the water in mine. OK so later we used the weights again and she wanted us to put water in them because she was having us lift them out of the water. So I did the first set of exercises out of the water as they were kind of in back of our head but the problem when you are in the water and you lift anything over your head is you get water on your face and it gets on my glasses and I can't see. Plus they are water weights because you are to use them in the water. So I decided on the next set she did out of the water, I was going to just do weights in the water. She called me out on it and I told her that I didn't want to get water all over my glasses and she says something about just shaking them off but if I'm lowering my arms then they get wet and drip. So I just kind of lost it and yelled and left never to go back as long as she is teaching and threw my water weights in the bin where they go really hard so that one bounced out and I was so mad (I did pick it up and finally got in bin). I told the employees at the front desk my complaints but I doubt that anything changes.
Writing class went well and all my stories were well received. I shared my son's letter with a couple of people. They both appreciated his sense of humor.
Tomorrow is Friday and I am sure it will be a TGIF kind of day for me. Hope you have a great one.

Sorry to hear about the stress fractures. My DS had them and stayed. They're going to do what they want to do. Prayers.

And yikes! That teacher sounds like a total dictator! Has she never heard about modifying exercises to meet YOUR needs!

Well, glad your writing class went well.
