It is so hard to see your son go through a surgery of this type and I am so many miles away. Thank God for Facetime. The report is good. He is out of the hospital and in what is called Hope House, a residence for cancer patients and family while being treated at Memorial Sloan Ketterling Cancer Center. He was released yesterday afternoon from the hospital because his Surgeon said he was too healthy to be taking up a bed. They were very pleased with his stamina. After he walked two miles before noon yesterday. He texted this morning that he finally got a good night's sleep! He is still trying to talk the into releasing him tomorrow to fly home. If it is still Monday when he can come home he will have to turn around and be back on Nov.5 to have the HAI pump filled. Today they made a couple of trips touring New York. He said all his counts were looking okay except for his liver enxymes, but then he found out that the pain medication caused the spike in that. I don't know how he keeps all that straight. He gets upset with me when I keep asking questions. Furnace went out and had to wait the HVAC guy for two visits. He just inspected the furnace and said that it was fine, the day our temps dropped it went out. The igniter went out and had to be ordered, but we are toasty now in the house. Have a quiet weekend planned. Just church tomorrow evening, and then PSR Sunday morning. Next week will be a rough one. We are trying to meet our monthly score and are close to reaching it. Will write more tomorrow.
