Serene Sunday

The first snowfall of the season at dusk in my home town!
emoticon As I get older I have begun to dislike winter, cold weather, snow and ice more than usual.
This year I hope to look at things differently and enjoy pictures of winter.
I plan to make a list of all the things I used to love about snow-days in my past.
I just pulled out knit, crochet and quilt patterns that I will have time to work on if I’m “stuck” at home.
emoticon I have also reminded myself that logging food and exercise will make all the difference when spring comes, as it always does!

Enjoy your Sunday and find something nice to look at even if it’s cold and icy where you are.
Have a great week!

I’m the same way. I use to love snow and winter. Now as I get older it’s too cold and I worry about falling on the ice. Sometimes in winter I wish I was a bear and could just hibernate

Gorgeous photo! I love winter, except when it gets bitterly cold and icey. (Easy to say from Georgia.) I am secretly longing for snow to have an excuse to not work in the yard and to stay indoors to work on this summer's vacation photo book.

I sorta agree with you. I use to love winter, but our last 2 winters have been quite cold here in MI. We aleady got 9 inches snow last week. I don't mind the cold weather but when it drops below 0 and stays there, where you just can't warm up no matter what is when I don't like winter.

I still wish the snow would of held off to at least when the trees had totally lost their leaves. In our maple in the backyard our tree is about 30% full of leaves. That is going to make such a mess come this spring.

But I am enjoying it the best I can. When you live in the city, the snow gets ugly really quickly.

Take care and enjoy your day.

OMG, that picture is beautiful! Did you take it yourself?

I agree, Phyllis, the older I get the less I like the cold. I never have been a fan of winter. And since retiring I have taken on the attitude of "Oh Well. I don't have to go out today. There will always be tomorrow." But the last couple years I have noticed this new attitude about winter - UGH! So I will join you in looking for some joy during the upcoming winter months. After all - 4 seasons is one of the very reasons I live where I do!
