Getting ready to travel

Saturday, December 21, 2019

School is officially out as inclement weather kept us from getting on the road this morning. Honestly, I was glad to not be putting my boy into a vehicle with someone else driving when we've got ice on the roads. I feel a bit of trepidation every day when he gets on the bus when its like this outside. We are getting ready to do our holiday travel and I must admit, I'm not looking forward to it. It really feels like something is telling me to just stay home. I can't because someone else paid for our flight and it may be my Grandmother's last time seeing the whole family together. So, I'm making my list, checking it twice, and we're heading out. Hopefully we don't get stuck half way!

My weight is still a big (no pun intended) problem. Despite not being on the meds that caused the gain, it could take up to a year before they fully dissipate. I'm working really hard to not just say "Forget it" and chow down on the Oreos I knew it was a mistake to buy. (They were on sale! and screamed "Take me HOME!".) I'm going to head back to the doctor and see what she thinks and if there is anything else we can do. If not, well, I guess I'm going to have to try that much harder because I refuse to stay this way. I have way too many reasons to move.

I hope everyone of you has a great holiday (which ever one you celebrate) or at least some time to realize how amazing you really are. Cause if no one has told you today, let me be the first. YOU ARE AMAZING!

Stay safe on those icy roads! I don't know what part of the country you live in but I have been seeing all of the weather updates from the colder areas in the country and it looks COLD! emoticon
