New Year's Eve was great

On New Year's Eve, I had a lot of things going on and they all seemed to be pretty great.
First, I went down to speak with the director of Feed My Sheep and The Well, in Temple, TX about volunteering. I spent more than two and half hours talking, and I will be the manager of The Well starting in a couple of weeks. Until then, I'm helping out and getting to know the people I will be working with and those I will be serving. The director is getting ready to go to Romania for a couple of weeks and I won't start the management position until she gets back. I left The Well feeling on top of the world.
Secondly, I went to the cardiology clinic for a echocardiogram on my heart to see if there truly is heart failure, because I was diagnosed with heart failure in Zambia. The technician doing the echo kept telling me that everything looked fine. That caused my feelings of happiness to overflow. Now, I know he either was not telling me the truth, or he didn't know what he was talking about. I still don't have confirmation about the heart failure, but the two upper chambers of my heart are enlarged and my heart doesn't want to relax properly. On Thursday I received and message from my doctor. He is referring me to a cardiologist for further evaluation.
Finally, I called a gentleman and invited him out to supper for New Year's Eve, my treat. We met at the restaurant and really hit it off. We talked for three hours. We have so much in common and really enjoy spending time together. I'm looking forward to seeing where this leads.
Be blessed y'all, Jackie
