Overwhelmed

Monday, January 27, 2020

Late...too many things are late...and people have been amazingly gracious...
I am grateful.
I thought I was beginning to get caught up and back to more of a schedule. Oh my, I fool myself! I realized at 8pm that I had forgotten about son's appointment today...and I feel like a failure. What is wrong with me? Why can't I keep up? How do I improve my efficiency enough to get kids to the right place at the right time?
Arrgghh!

You are not a failure and you’ve got this! Calendars are a great suggestion. Adulting is hard and adding kids into the mix makes it crazier! Don’t be hard on yourself and be patient while you figure out what works best for you. You’re doing great

You sound very busy! Would it help to have notes to yourself or a calendar that you check often? I once forgot a dinner invitation years ago and am still emabarrased about it. The family called us and asked why we were not there yet, so we went late, after having already eaten at home and ate dinner again. And this was when my husband and I were both young and could not blame our age on this. emoticon

Put everything on a calendar w/ reminders, maybe 2 hrs before. Review the day prior & write down on a post it the list ( or print out schedule) & keep where you'll see it. Put notes in car, on bathroom mirror, at desk or fridge, etc.
