Been working with my sciatic problem

good evening - I have not been going to the gym. But doing some yoga moves and really working on resting my hip and leg. My son has sciatic problems which he says is unbearable at times. I experienced times where you cannot even think clearly with the pain. I will not take Rx pain killers - doctor would not even prescribe them last time. I am working on getting my core stronger and work on getting better. I have gotten better, but not 100% yet. I get break out pain at night. Funny sciatic is suppose to be better at night, not mine. I am better walking. So I walk around the house. I even went to the grocery store with DH. So who knows what will happen tonight. I feel it tensing up now. I am going to do my exercises and then cold/hot pack. I take Alieve or Advil only. So I am alive, but I am so aware now how my son feels. he got his from a bad surgery with the Army. But after two surgeries, he is afraid to have another one. Live is good, but sciatic is such a challenge to one's positive attitude. Have a good evening!! emoticon

    Resting your leg and hip after some yoga moves and stretching seems to be working. I like your getting your core stronger. I sure hope you get a good nights rest too, that is so helpful for ones mind and body Years ago I pulled myself over to reach from the drivers seat to the passenger window to close it. I payed for that mistake for months including bed rest for several weeks--no fun what your back, hips and legs hurt.Now with my finger doing therapy, I look forward to getting back to strength exercising. In fack plan on asking the therapist tomorrow if lifting 2 pound weights would be okay. May have to wait and ask the specialist next week when I see him, if the therapist thinks that is for the doctor to determine.
