Yesterday I surprised myself. I had made 6000 steps by lunchtime! Wow, for me that is huge. ... and no I don't know where I ended up for the day, because I took my tracker off. No need to spoil myself when I know I can't keep it up just yet.
I also cooked lunch yesterday. Usually, it's sandwiches or a salad or a meal from the freezer. I told my hubby the day before we were to have turkey. SO before I went on my walk yesterday I put the turkey and gravy in the crockpot. Yeah, I did ready-made gravy there, let's not spoil us that much. I also made green bean casserole and Brussel sprouts, mash potatoes, baked julienne potatoes, cornbread stuffing, and green peas. It sounds like a lot of food, I know. But here is what I did. I served each of us a plate with the basics and a choice of vegetables. Then I made up 9 more meals from the rest. Each meal got half a serving of potato choice, stuffing, turkey with gravy, then one full serving of vegetables. All in all, I am really happy with the outcome. Now I have several meals for the fridge, freezer and we had lunch. That is also where a lot of those steps came in. For some reason when I cook I move a lot.
This morning I got up early ( because I went to bed last night before ten) I have a meeting today. The meeting place is in my neighborhood. So there is my walking going to come from. The only thing to worry about is whether it will be icy. The temps dropped last night. We are currently sitting at 28 degrees. I made a fire and am all cozy getting my morning work done at the computer.
