Spark Names

Sunday, March 01, 2020

I take great delight in seeing the variety and diversity of name chosen by Spark People. My name EMMACORY is a combination of my Mom and Dad's name. They always instilled in me and my siblings that we could do whatever we put our mind to do. Mom and Dad gave us great values of integrity, honesty, work ethic, etc. We were also exposed to the "clean your plate club" as well as the "snack club". However, we mostly had whole foods, oranges, apples, beans, corn, etc. My sister and I reflect on what we aet as children is the way we are suppose to eat today also.

I believe Spark also encourages us with good habits, values, support and understanding. It is the larger community working towards a goal of health in body, mind and soul that keeps me coming back daily. I invite you to take a look at some of the spark names and be inspired. I also invite you to join a 5% team and join the adventure.

I've always wondered how Emmacory came to be when your name is June. Sweet story and now that we r home way too much, I think I will look into some of the names people choose her on Sparks and maybe figure out why. Fun!

What a nice way to honour your parents. My Mum actually did think oranges and bananas and fruit of most kinds was a treat she lived through World War Two in the East End of London and was bombed out three times.

What a nice way to honor your parents...combining their names into your Spark name!

My parents made us clean our plates and I still do. I don't like to waste food, but then I take small helpings to start with and rarely take seconds. I grew up in the city and my parents didn't have a garden. Before frozen foods, we ate mostly canned vegetables. For a great part of my life, I thought I hated asparagus. Canned asparagus is horrible, green and slimy; but fresh asparagus is wonderful.
