My plan was to curl up and knit, listen to a particular good audiobook and let it rain. Well, it rained without me... all day, at times heavy and the wind picked up. All in all, it was good and so needed. The ground soaked it up and we are better for it come Spring.

The rest... I got knitting done, quite a bit and listening, but I also was a busy beaver around the house. I ended up going up and down the long steep staircase to the half loft several times - something I generally avoid at all costs. I rearranged and did a lot of housework in one day that is generally spread over several. I feel good about it.

I also had pizza for lunch. To my surprise, however, I only ate half as much as I usually do. That was enough. I had a banana yesterday, grapes, blackberries for a snack and fresh mango. We had asparagus and wild rice and I didn't feel like I had cravings all day. Hubby has a new cardiologist and one of the things he goes over with his new patients is diet and exercise. His recommendation for all his patients is the Mediterranean diet. So once we cleaned up our fridge, freezer, and pantry a bit (despite the advice to throw away food that is not part of the diet) I can't afford to do that. Most of our food is healthy. I just need to upgrade to more whole grain and so forth. That's why we had pizza for lunch yesterday. I am not throwing it out but it needed to go.

Well, it is sunny this morning and as soon as the busses are done running I am on my way to my morning walk.
