my left heel and foot is hurting very badly. i have planter facilars, hope it is spelled right. it takes any where from 8-12 weeks to heal. i read on one article that said 6-12 months to heal. i hope not. it is so painful i think exercise will be on hold for now. oh well!!!! anyone have anything to add.

I’ve had plantar fasciitis with many treatment modalities tried. Before you get out of bed do some foot exercises, that will help with the pain of those first steps. I also found a hard plastic heel cup helped a lot. Icing the foot, especially the heel is helpful along with ibuprofen. Physical therapy consult will be very helpful. Not to be a downer, I was initially told it would no away in 12-18 months whether treated or not and that is how long it took for me to get relief. I wore my heel cup for years after the pain was gone. And was afraid of any twinge in my heel for years. Good luck to you. I’ve also known people who recovered in a few months.
