Stressed is desserts!

Yep! Between Easter and the stress of the COVID-19 and my "repairs" I have been eating more sugar than I have in ages!! I am trying VERY HARD not to return to the sugar I have eaten in the past.
When my mom was ill and in intensive care for 4 months in 1983-84, I ate more sugar and gained 20 pounds! I even told her she needed to get better so I could stop eating and gaining weight. Then, she died in Feb 28, 1984. For years, stress just added more weight.
Then after the biggest stress, losing my husband in 2001 ( 6 months before 9-11), I was able to lessen the stress and since then have been losing weight. Slowly for sure. So I really do not want to repeat this stress eating.
I am mediating, walking and trying to watch happy TV. I just hope I can find the strength to overcome this urge.
Thankfully, the weight is stable so far.
