It doesn't cost a penny

Who needs it anyways? My mind was turned to the 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. As a child my grandmother provided me with lots of affirmation. From a young age she told me she loved my hair and to take care of it. Guess what - I haven't forgotten that and still try to honor her with it. I also had an uncle who told me I was smart and could read and figure things out. I paid close attention to that after he said that and I excelled in certain areas. The love languages are not just for couples, it's for affirming each other. I have not pin pointed which one Tom is or me for that matter but if I split them 3/2 - he is on one side and I am on the other for sure. 😉 (I know 35 years of marriage almost and we are still figuring each other out)
So what if we took some time over the next few weeks and found ways to re-affirm those who we are partially sheltered down with or maybe assumed every cashier, waitress etc has a need for words for affirmation. That doesn't cost us one penny and who doesn't like to be told their hair looks nice, or you look so elegant, or those glasses make you look smart or to a young kid who seems studious, wow I bet you are a great student in school. I'm gonna be like pepper today and add some spice to someone's life.
