Snacks really Pack on a punch (weight gaining gut punch)

Wednesday, May 13, 2020

Didn't realize until I did some food tracking how snacks can really Pack on the calories uggh. Up until now I was so ready to vent, vent about how I felt my scale was being a rebellious jerk and I was going to name this Blog my Vent, reality check soon settled in and so it seems the"scale" might not be "off" or at least far off than I thought... I Never in my wildest dreams thought that I would tip the scales at 200 pounds. I fought hard in my mind, in my thoughts and stressful emotions not to ever step foot/body on the scale and see that number, so to step on the scale and see 205 has really taken me to another place, not a good one I might add.

No I'm not going to be in denial about that number. I've been overweight/obese (in denial about the latter word) for well over 20 some odd years. This weight loss lifestyle ain't no joke. It took me half that time to put on the weight and over the years, time, age and lack of sufficient physical activity has enabled me to pack on more. Being home for the last 2 months hasn't helped either.

What I am angry about is since I found out 8 years ago, I have a gluten intolerance I've had to eliminate all kinds of food from my diet, foods I really liked although they didn't like me. I've now come to realize more foods that I thought were ok I can no longer eat, soy and soy based products and just a few days ago, since Saturday I've decided to eat a low Fodmap diet to help with the abdominal pain and nausea I still suffer from. I feel like Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow in the Wiz singing"You can't win"..
