Badlands Hike
Thursday, May 21, 2020
We had a beautiful day today after several days of rain. I went on a lovely hike in the central Oregon Badlands wilderness area. I have not been hiking much, so this was a shorter hike. I still found it challenging. The wildflowers were beautiful.
Rocket ( local wallflower)
Sand lilies
Oregon sunshine
Larkspur
It felt really good to be out enjoying nature. Our governor has eased some of the pandemic restrictions, and more trails have opened. I chose this trail, because it is not very crowded at any time. With the easing of the restrictions, we are seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases. But I Think it will be very hard to roll back to stricter isolation measures. Personally, I was thrilled to get my haircut today. The stylist wore a facemask, sanitized in between each customer, only one customer was in the facility at a time.
I hope you are all doing wellg. I am enjoying it much more now that the pollen levels have been reduced, and my allergies are so much better.
